"GROWING UP LATINO IS AN OPPORTUNITY"

Third year being asked to speak at the Latino Cultural Night of Saint Mary's College of California. As a proud Colombian immigrant, I spoke about the reasons why growing up Latino in the Bay area has been an opportunity rather than a challenge due to my constant positive attitude and strong support system. My four main points were the opportunity to be bilingual, bicultural, be able to bridge communities, and the motivation to succeed from those around us.
